3 tips to cultivate your inner voice and find joy in living.

When you cultivate your inner voice, you make a big shift from seeking external validation to trusting yourself. 
This is so incredibly important to me because 90% of people I talk to don't trust themselves and don't know it.
I was one of them.
Seeking external validation showed up in my life as 
Being the doting wife and mother even if it meant putting myself last, 
Taking any and all medication my health care providers prescribed me without question,
and spending time on social media even though I felt like everyone was faking it till they made it.
In a nut shell, I was a people pleasing robot doing what I thought was right based on "social norms" and it fucking sucked!
Cultivating my inner voice helped me set boundaries and find joy in living in a world that loves telling you what to do. 

Here are my 3 tips to cultivate your inner voice so you can set boundaries and find joy in living. 

Meditate. 
Every successful relationship is built on listening.
Meditation is just that - listening to your inner voice. 
Whether you meditate sitting, laying, or moving, spending time listening to your inner voice is necessary especially when you're starting out. 
Listening is like a muscle and if you haven't been listening to your inner voice, you need consistent practice to build up your capacity to listen.
Start your meditation practice distraction free.
Observe any thoughts, feelings, or sensations that come up and say 'I release you…'
Eventually, you'll clear your mind of random thoughts and can engage your inner voice.
Gradually play with lighting, textures, postures, music, and scents to support your meditation practice.


Be a curious investigator.
This practice was so important for me because I was so used to blindly trusting everyone. 
When I tried to be super mom and wife at my own expense, I was depressed. 
I never stopped to ask myself 'why is this important to me?'
I just did what generations of womxn were told by society. 
Start by asking yourself why while centering the questions around your well-being.
Why is this important to me?
Why do I want to do this?
Then work your way through the what's, how's, who's, where's, and when's.
In doing so, you're reclaiming your power in the decision process and gathering data to make an informed decision.

I'm surrounded by people conscious of their physical health and one day I hear antibiotics really mess up your gut health and it takes a year for it to stabilize 😳
At the time, I couldn't remember if I ever went 12 months without antibiotics. 
So I started asking my doctors whenever they prescribed antibiotics if it was necessary - and the answer every single time was no 😮
Cultivating my gut health (abstaining from antibiotics unless necessary and eating foods nourishing for my unique gut) has me feeling like my immunity is in the best shape of my life. 
***Talk to YOUR doctor if you're considering changing your medication regimen or get a second opinion, either way be a curious investigator. 

Follow through.
Now that you have some data from listening to your inner voice in meditation and being a curious investigator, build trust with your inner voice by putting aligned action behind your data!
Show your inner voice you trust it with aligned action to prove it. 
Start small - what does your inner voice say about how you feel in this moment? 
What does your inner voice say about what you need?
Take aligned action to nourish and support yourself. 

Cultivating your inner voice isn't a one-and-done thing. 
Like any relationship - it takes consistency, trust, and time.

Faery Realm Meditation

Have you ever spent time in your garden, at a park, or on a nature trail and felt like you weren't alone? It could be an animal or it could be a nature spirit. 

As animists, pre-colonial Filipino spiritual traditions were that all things have a spirit. As a child, I was taught to tread lightly through the yard and to say "tabi tabi po" or "excuse me" in Tagalog. Whenever I am hiking or camping, I am extremely sensitive to the fact that I am trespassing on someone else's home. This is likely from being taught at a young age this practice of saying excuse me while I walk through nature. It was only a few years ago that I was terrified of all things non-physical. My canon was all ghosts, hauntings, and spooky. 

This practice of saying "tabi tabi po" was taught to me as a way to be among the nature spirits with respect and reverence for their own existence. It gives them a heads up that you're coming through so that they can find safe coverage. It is believed that if you cause harm to a nature spirit, it could seek revenge on you. After all, nature spirits feel emotions just like us including anger and fear. As a child, my elders must've left out the respect and reverence part of the explanation. It was the fear or retaliation that had me saying excuse me. 

Have no fear. If we allow unconditional love to guide us and be our flashlight, we can trust that everything happens as divinely planned. I created this meditation to help people discern via a somatic experience. I told someone that our body is one large tarot card/divination tool giving us clues to our experience. The same can be said when trying to discern whether your experience is based in high intentions or not.

Love yourself unconditionally as you are.

Close your eyes.
Take 3 deep breaths, in through the nose and out your mouth.
Return your breath to it's normal pace. 

Visualize a bright light filling up your space, neutralizing your surroundings. 
Allow yourself to embrace and celebrate who you are right here, right now. 
Send yourself love.
Maybe that's visualizing hugging yourself or telling yourself a legit compliment. 
Bask in it. Feel that energy fill you up. 
Then gently return to your body and open your eyes.

What we do in our mind has great effects on our physical reality.
What starts in your mind takes energy and builds momentum until it manifests into physical reality.

Meditation isn't just about sitting in silence. It helps you build self-awareness through your monkey mind. Consider all the shit running through your mind when you try to sit in silence. Those thoughts are coming up for a reason. 

Meditation is a foundation of my practice and should be for you too if you're trying to make personal developmental progress. I teach this in alllll of my classes.

Color Activation Meditation

Every color of the spectrum holds a different frequency and vibration. They correspond to different energy centers. The different shades within each color can tell us whether the energy is under expressed, balanced, or over expressed. Colors tell us so much!

This guided meditation is an activation of your connection to the different colors of the rainbow as a language and barometer for energy.

Note the different thoughts and sensations you experience with each color within the meditation. 

Journal your experience post-meditation. You can do your own free-form meditation to dig deeper into the messages you received for each color.

Heart Meditation

If you're familiar with Human Design, this meditation is helpful for all the Generators. It helps you tap into and recognize your yes response.  I started sharing this meditation with clients when I used to practice with sitters I found on Craigslist. I met some interesting people from Craigslist and some of them genuinely wanted guidance. I wanted to help them with a way to connect with their intuition in a simple, accessible method without having to sign up for a course or workshop. After all, relying on someone else to give you all the answers or to help you with all of your decisions isn't practical. This very reason is why I feel called to share with people how practical and empowering it is to connect with our inner guidance, our intuition.

My Grounding Meditation Story

I recorded a grounding meditation to share. If you're feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or even fatigued, try this meditation! I had a teacher share this meditation with me. It was the first time I tried a meditation and I got it.

You see, I was like most people, struggling to sit in silence. That was until I realized you don't need to sit in silence to achieve balance. Sometimes balance needs some level of engagement. I view meditation as a process of clearing out your internal and external environment so that there is enough clarity to fully see yourself. How you get there is unique to you because you are wonderfully unique.

When my teacher first shared this meditation, I was at the beginning of my conscious spiritual awakening. She said, do this meditation twice daily and it will change your life! I was skeptical though it didn't stop me from trying. A profile of mmt life at the time:
  • I was miserable at work.​ My peers were quitting one by one and I felt left behind, stuck, and abused by management.
  • I was physically feeling awful. I'd go home feeling nauseous every day and barely had it in me to do anything but be sick in bed.
  • I was overweight and could barely run a mile without my joints hurting.
  • I felt helpless like I was stuck.
I could go on but i think you get the point. Within a few months,
  • ​I had a job offer with a manager that I simply adore.
  • I joined a team of people that fully support one another and are genuine.
  • I started having more energy and motivation. I also was setting and enforcing boundaries with people bringing unbalanced energy.
  • It was also around that time that I identified with my life purpose of helping others connect with intuition.
  • I also started losing weight and getting consistent with exercise. My running pace quickly became my walking pace and I am still at it today

I took life by the reins and shifted my perspective. I feel like I know myself better than I ever have before. It's more than that, I feel like I fully know myself.

Grounding Meditation + Channeled Message

I've been laying low lately, observing all within my macro and microcosm. I get an urge to say something but then I talk myself out of it. 

Let them figure it out for themselves.
They don't need me to tell them.
If I don't say something, someone else will.

Then a friend gave me an intuitive reading. She picked up on my holding back my words. They need to be spoken. I am going through a transformation and speaking my truth is a marquee of the 5D me.

For lifetimes, I've struggled with speaking my truth. I'm learning that it's ok to make mistakes. What's important is that I trust my intuition and it will guide me.
