When you cultivate your inner voice, you make a big shift from seeking external validation to trusting yourself.
This is so incredibly important to me because 90% of people I talk to don't trust themselves and don't know it.
I was one of them.
Seeking external validation showed up in my life as
Being the doting wife and mother even if it meant putting myself last,
Taking any and all medication my health care providers prescribed me without question,
and spending time on social media even though I felt like everyone was faking it till they made it.
In a nut shell, I was a people pleasing robot doing what I thought was right based on "social norms" and it fucking sucked!
Cultivating my inner voice helped me set boundaries and find joy in living in a world that loves telling you what to do.
Here are my 3 tips to cultivate your inner voice so you can set boundaries and find joy in living.
Every successful relationship is built on listening.
Meditation is just that - listening to your inner voice.
Whether you meditate sitting, laying, or moving, spending time listening to your inner voice is necessary especially when you're starting out.
Listening is like a muscle and if you haven't been listening to your inner voice, you need consistent practice to build up your capacity to listen.
Start your meditation practice distraction free.
Observe any thoughts, feelings, or sensations that come up and say 'I release you…'
Eventually, you'll clear your mind of random thoughts and can engage your inner voice.
Gradually play with lighting, textures, postures, music, and scents to support your meditation practice.
Be a curious investigator.
This practice was so important for me because I was so used to blindly trusting everyone.
When I tried to be super mom and wife at my own expense, I was depressed.
I never stopped to ask myself 'why is this important to me?'
I just did what generations of womxn were told by society.
Start by asking yourself why while centering the questions around your well-being.
Why is this important to me?
Why do I want to do this?
Then work your way through the what's, how's, who's, where's, and when's.
In doing so, you're reclaiming your power in the decision process and gathering data to make an informed decision.
I'm surrounded by people conscious of their physical health and one day I hear antibiotics really mess up your gut health and it takes a year for it to stabilize 😳
At the time, I couldn't remember if I ever went 12 months without antibiotics.
So I started asking my doctors whenever they prescribed antibiotics if it was necessary - and the answer every single time was no 😮
Cultivating my gut health (abstaining from antibiotics unless necessary and eating foods nourishing for my unique gut) has me feeling like my immunity is in the best shape of my life.
***Talk to YOUR doctor if you're considering changing your medication regimen or get a second opinion, either way be a curious investigator.
Now that you have some data from listening to your inner voice in meditation and being a curious investigator, build trust with your inner voice by putting aligned action behind your data!
Show your inner voice you trust it with aligned action to prove it.
Start small - what does your inner voice say about how you feel in this moment?
What does your inner voice say about what you need?
Take aligned action to nourish and support yourself.
Cultivating your inner voice isn't a one-and-done thing.
Like any relationship - it takes consistency, trust, and time.

MJ is a beautiful soul and this episode is SO good.
We talked about the beginning of my spiritual journey,
How my Filipino culture has influenced my journey,
and how I stay committed even when people don't agree with what I do.

I made a very special guest appearance on the Bruha Baddies Podcast a couple weeks ago. This episode left me feeling so buzzy, excited, and fulfilled.
I walked away reinvigorated - like this is why I do this!
I talked to Nicole and Jean @ Bruha Baddies about what I do, why I do it, and why it's so important to me as a Filipina-American.
This is a podcast that I was a listener of before they asked me to be a guest and yes, that made it all the more special.

When I began my spiritual development in January 2019, I think I googled the heck out of the internet trying to understand what grounding is. It wasn't meant for me to find out from the internets so everything worked out. However, if you're finding this video, THIS right here is meant to be.
Hi, my name is Krisell Valenzuela. I’m the multi-dimensional medium, Akashic Records reader, energy healer, and spiritual development coach behind www.krisellcan.com. So today, I want to talk to you about grounding. What does grounding mean? What are grounding practices that you can take on? I started off my practice of grounding, in psychic development in general, using meditation as a form of grounding. As I’ve gone on my development journey, what I’ve realized and what it really took is understanding: what is grounding? Grounding practices can be anything because grounding is having an understanding, basis or foundation in who you are, where you are, what you came here to do. So at the core of it, its being rooted. It is knowing your environment. Let’s dig into that a little more. How to ground is about rooting yourself and having a foundation in something. I think if you look it up in Merriam Webster grounding says it’s having a basis in something. And so you can be grounding in many different experiences. And so your practice could evolve or be a chameleon for whatever that situation is. Some of the really common grounding practices, I started off doing meditation and a simple grounding meditation is to visualize roots growing from your body into the earth helping you anchor yourself into this earthly experience. And that is really helpful, especially when you are getting astral (astral traveling to other dimensions). Because you came into this 3D existence with purpose. Regardless of how many dimensions you go into, it’s important to know that hey! we are here, right here, right now in this dimension with a purpose. Other grounding practices could be earthing. Whether it be gardening, hugging a tree, or being barefoot on the earth. I like to think of other grounding experiences in terms of what helps me feel and connect into being human here on earth. Exercising is really helpful. Eating. (laughs) I don’t know about you but, I often have days where I forget to eat my meals. And so, making sure that I’m eating my meals and not spreading them too far apart. To take care of my human responsibilities, whether it be to pay my bills. Call customer service and take care of whatever nonsensical human issue I have to take care of. Some people like to use their divination tools to help ground them. It really is up to you and depending on who you are. I challenge you, instead of jumping into any of these practices that I do and seeing how it works for you, I challenge you to think about what reminds you that you are human and that reminds you, you are physical. Think about what helps you feel grounded and anchored. And so whether that be hugging someone, spending time with fam and friends, or being outside and laying in the grass and staring at the sky. I challenge you to think of experiences that you can turn into rituals. I think that is so much more powerful than looking up a list and trying what someone else tells you to do. At the end of the day, you need to have a practice that you can do on a daily basis because grounding is a daily, it’s a daily ritual. It is a daily self-care practice.
Every Thursday @5PM PST/8PM EST I go live on FB, Twitch, and YouTube with emoji readings, psychic development, discussing metaphysics, and answering your questions. The schedule is up on my website, link in bio.

What is a value? Oxford Languages defines values as:
plural noun: values
As an individual, you don’t need to seek other’s validation for your worth.
As a collective, you’re here to show others what they’re worth by investing your trust in them.
Thank you for trusting me with your energy.
What do you value?
Registration for my Healing Your Relationship with Wealth course closes when class starts tonight at 6PM PST/9PM EST.
Something you may not know about me is that I’m a secret numerologist. Math feels so reliable. Sometimes it is frustrating but it almost feels concrete. Numbers don’t lie and they don’t get swayed by your emotions. 2+2 will always equal 4 no matter how pissed, annoyed, or even maniacally happy one can be. Calculating your life path number from your birth date is probably the most identifiable tool from numerology but, everything holds numbers as codes within it. Each letter carries a numeric vibration and therefore words (and hellur names!!) carry vibrations based on their numeric combination. Point being, everything carries a numeric vibration and there is so much wisdom in that.
The most interesting idea I took away from my independent numerology studies is the cycle of 9. Numerology exists in a cycle of 0-9. When you apply it to letters, the first 9 letters in the alphabet represent 1-9 and start over at 0 (or 10, 20, etc.) to 9 again. Our individual lives are a series of cycles of 9. As a collective, we go through cycles of 9 years.
As a collective, what does 2021 have in store for us? 2021 is a 5 year. Check out the graph to see where the 5 is in relation to 3, 4, and 6. There is a significant jump from 4, a return to 3, and there is even more to elevate to get to a 6. All in all, 5 is a good year as 5 carries the vibration of change.
When we think of change, people often are stuck in the pitfall perspective of change as turning life upside down. This happens when there is a strong attachment to the status quo. Change represents disruption to patterning that keeps you static. Disruption that is needed to break through cycles to create space for joyfully exciting energy.
You know what static living reminds me of? A heart rate monitor when someone dies. Life is full of highs and lows because we are dynamic multi-dimensional beings. When we lose that dynamism, we lose life.
While 2020 was a trough year, a 4 year. It was also a stabilizing year. As a collective we brought ourselves down to earth, to ground, to get real with ourselves. We had to get super fucking real with ourselves to create the kind of foundation to carry all of the good shit we’re about to create.
If you’re ready for the kind of good shit we’re creating in 2021, I want you to register for my class that starts this Thursday evening: Heal Your Relationship with Wealth. Click on the thumbnail below to register.
If you’re the DIY type and live for the adventure of learning as you go, I’m coming out with a new spiritual development coaching package that will set you up with the foundations to get you going. I'll be launching it soon, stay tuned!
