Hair can make you happy
I recently got a fresh cut and OMG did it feel good. While my haircut is not a big deal, doing things that feel good is! How often do you want to be happy? Did you say daily? Then you have to do things that make you happy daily. Shout out to my friend Jackie for my fresh cut!
Cutting my hair every day won't make me happy every day, it might actually get to a point that it will make me upset lol. Exercising, hugs and cuddles, meditation, eating chocolate, and bike rides are all things that make me happy that I absolutely can do on a daily basis. This my friends, contributes to raising your vibration. Raising your vibration is about investing in your happiness quotient.

Learning Self Care
Have you ever stopped and thought, my life is so far from what I remember it being. For me, it was when I had my first kid. The days following his birth were full of this disconnected feeling, like I had no idea what was next. Everyone says motherhood changes you and my gah, they weren't kidding. Those baby blues got me and they got me hard. I wasn't debilitated with sadness but I've described this feeling at other times in my life as if i had no baseline or emotional/mental gauge, as if i was ungrounded. I only compounded the feeling by retreating and being a hermit. I withdrew from most of my friends and wouldn't allow myself being away from my baby. I was struggling to reconcile what I thought I needed to be vs what I was craving to be. That kid is 7 years old now and I'm just starting to feel like myself again. In the flow, doing things for me, and not worrying about who gets upset on the way... wait what?! If you felt that "wait what?!" then you misunderstand. There's nothing wrong with doing things for you when it's heart centered. Doing what makes your heart happy fills you up with energy. It helps you illuminate so that you could be a bright inspiring light for those around you. This is a big part of my journey. Being a mom, or even a spouse, doesn't mean giving up your life to make someone else a priority. It means taking care of yourself so that you can be there to support the other person.
If that means letting yourself workout, do it.
If that means letting yourself pamper or groom yourself, do it.
If that means giving yourself 5 minutes for meditation, do it.
If that means crushing da candy for 5 minutes, do iiiiit.
Do you recall how good it feels after giving yourself that? I was pretty addicted to Word Blast for a hot second. If I was feeling stressed, I would allow myself a quick game and it was energizing. Whatever floats your boat, do it. But make sure you do something you love.
I challenge you to think of 3 things you can do on a daily basis that bring you joy. Think of something. When you need it, and oh you'll know, turn to any one of these 3 things. I want to hear about it.
